Insight

3 out of 4 women cannot name a female role model in business

Research from LVMH found out that women around the world struggled to name women’s role models in the business world. As a brand led by one of the first and most iconic women entrepreneurs in modern history, Veuve-Clicquot had to play a role in addressing the issue.

Challenge

How to recognise and create more women role models in business?

Idea

Entrepreneurship is a mindset, not a type of company

Madame Clicquot took over the family company when women were excluded from the world of business. Her fearless attitude had inspired the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award in 1972. Since then, the “Maison” has recognised more than 350 women in 27 countries worldwide for their accomplishments. To evolve the initiative, we created an ambitious programme, BOLD, featuring a wider definition of entrepreneurship, encompassing creativity and a fearless attitude in making a difference for women and men alike.
